Bonaire — the diver’s paradise! With its crystal-clear waters, colorful reefs, and a laid-back island vibe, you’re in for an unforgettable underwater adventure. But first things first: packing! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with this packing list. Grab your gear and get ready for some fantastic dives!
Diving Gear Essentials
1. Mask & Snorkel (+Reef safe Anti-fog spray)
2. Fins and boots – Neoprene dive booties if you’re using open-heel fins or if you plan to do some shore diving along with your boat dives.
3. Wetsuit - Bonaire’s waters are warm, but a 3mm wetsuit or shorty keeps you comfy for those longer dives. We recommend a long wetsuit if you do night dives or multiple dives a day. If you only do one dive a day you probably even do without.
4. Dive Computer - A must-have for tracking your depth, bottom time, and safety stops. Think of it as your personal underwater co-pilot.
5. Reg – including SPG & Octo.

Our tip: To look in all little crafaces to make spotting critters like shrimp/lobsters and crabs easier. Also makes the reef more colorful if you go down deep. Note: please make sure you don’t shine directly in other divers faces. Also marine life is very fragile, please try to aviod shining directly on the critters and please spend limited time shining on them. We want to disturb the reef ass less as possible.

Diving Accessories to Shine Like a Pro
2. Mesh Gear Bag - A breathable bag to carry your gear and let it dry on the boat.
3. Dry Bag - Perfect for keeping your phone, wallet, and other valuables dry while you’re splashing around.
4. Logbook & Certification Cards - You’ll need your dive log and cert cards to join any dives with operators. Plus, it’s fun to track your underwater adventures!
5. Reef-Safe Sunscreen - Protect yourself and the reefs! You’ll be in the sun, and no one wants to turn into a lobster.
6. Hat & Sunglasses - Keep that sun at bay while you chill on the boat between dives.
7. Diving Insurance - DAN or equivalent diving insurance is a must for peace of mind.
Clothing & Comfort Must-Haves
1. Swimwear – wear swimwear and rash guards. Most boats are not to spacious make sure you already wearing it in advance.
2. Quick-Dry Towel – if your operator is not bringing theirs, then take a lightweight microfiber towel.
3. Wear Flip-Flops – Most boats don’t allow shoes on the boat, so wear something that you can take off easily
4. Light Jacket or Windbreaker - It may be warm, but a light jacket can come in handy after the breeze kicks in post-dive.
Health & Safety Essentials
1. Reusable Water Bottle - Hydration is key, especially between dives. Stay cool and eco-friendly with a reusable bottle.
2. Seasickness Medication - If the rocking waves aren’t your thing, bring some Dramamine or ginger chews to keep your stomach happy.
